Where to look first

A photograph of a flat white wall proves very little. What separates one renderer from another lives at the edges: how the coat terminates against a frame, whether the bell cast at the base throws water clear of the brick below it, whether the line where render meets stone holds true across its whole length.

Follow the reveals around the openings and watch what happens at external corners. Those details absorb the hours, and they are invariably the first thing to betray a job that was hurried.

Several of these were deliberately shot before the scaffold came down.

We have just had our end of terrace house completely re-rendered using a through coloured silicone render in the linen colour. We are very happy with the finish, the workmen did a great job. The three men who were put on the job arrived early in the morning & worked really hard all day & they took a lot of care in covering all the windows, doors, paving stones etc to protect them from the render. They cleaned up every day before they left. We were informed every day as to what was happening & if they were on site or not depending on weather. We would definitely recommend this firm to others.
